Marta Papa Quoted in Girls Guide to the Galaxy

In her Jan. 14 Girls Guide to the Galaxy blog post titled “The Business of “I Do,” writer Pamela Raymond discusses the big business of weddings. As part of the piece, Raymond also interviewed St. Louis family lawyer and mediator Marta Papa about the role of pre-nuptial agreements.

Papa offered this advice to Girls Guide:

“I have seen a change in the number of clients who are seeking such services… one or both of the people may have accumulated substantial assets before the marriage. The smart ones will protect such assets by drawing up a pre-nup. It is no longer a document used only by the wealthy or famous.”
